Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice MixΒ π
Always Best
Homemade pumpkin pie spice mix is always suuuper fragrant, and the absolute best. Plus, you’re likely to have all the spices already in your cupboard!
The main reason why you ought to be making your own mix is the nutmeg. Which is really always best when freshly grated.
Having said that, you’re also likely to have all the spices already. So why buy an extra spice mix that will lie in your cupboard for the next dozen Thanksgivings?
Although we suppose that depends on how many pumpkin spice lattes you chuck down a week. Either way, we highly suggest a homemade mix.
So store in an airtight container for up to a week (for maximum fragrance), or up to forever (because it won’t really go bad, at least not for a few years).
Now go make your pumpkin spice latte. Or muffins. Or pie.
