I want to take this time to thank you.

To thank you for reading, for engaging, for sending love. I learn new things daily from all your comments and kitchen stories! I honestly could’ve never foreseen the sharing community of food-loving peeps that gnom-gnom has grown to become in this past year. And I’ll forever be thankful to you, for it.  

The internet really does provide a wonderful flow of information that knows no bounds. And so, in keeping our sharing motto here at gnom-gnom, a handful of the recipes from the book will be published throughout the summer months (think 4 or 5).

It makes me happier than I could ever describe to read all your comments and pictures, and will always strive to make the recipes available to all. And I’m sure you guys will love the videos planned, and all the exciting (and scrumptious!) recipes that are to come this summertime.

    Do any of the recipes need adjusted for High Altitude cooking? We are at 5000+ and some things do not lift, rise, or cook the same as they did when at lower levels.

      Hi Sheila! I’m currently in Mexico City (12-13,000 ft!) so no need to worry- all the recipes work for high altitudes (a lot of readers from Colorado comment frequently) xo!

    Hello Love! i am enjoying my ebook, that cone recipe was da bomb and barbecue sauce is on point(minus oregano…lol)…I have tried many other recipes as well, one behooves me though…I cant seem to get my chips to “puff” .They become concave on one side but never creating the puff you have in the photos.. 🙁

      Hi Kay! So awesome to hear you’re enjoying the book 🙂 Regarding the chips, it’s happened to a few readers before and usually what solves the puffing issue is to decrease the water (large eggs or various brands simply absorb water different- coconut flour is notorious for this). So try either eliminating the water completely or just adding 1 tsp! Hope this helps! xo

    Me encantan tus recetas. Siendo mexicana ha sido muy difficil para mi familia (tu sabes por lo de los tacos, las tortas 🤪 y los tamales ) hacer el cambio a una vida cetogenica pero gracias a tus recetas hemos sobrepasado el primer mes. Mi hijo que siempre ha sido super super picky le encantaron tu receta de waffles y las galletas realmente les ha ayudado a quitarse la ansiedad del pan y azucar acabo de comprar tu libro y no puedo esperar en hacer todas las recetas. Muchas gracias por toda la informacion

      p.s. no se si haz visto iherb.com, pero es un gran ahorro para comprar ingredientes keto y lo mandan a Mexico (tarda como dos-cuatro semanas).

    How many of the recipes require the use of an oven? Just hate the way it heats up our whole apartment so I want to avoid using the oven in summer if possible!

      Hi DB! I just did a quick count and about 17 require an oven (mainly the baked goods). Some you can do on the grill instead (roasted aubergines can be grilled for instance). xo!

    I’m a fairly new subscriber to your blog but I already printed out a handful of recipes and flagged another handful to print out in the future. Today I saw this flash sale, read about your cookbook, and decided to order it. By the way, your blog posts are like cerebral snacks…the writing style is as decadent and yummy and as nourishing and creative as your recipes look. (I haven’t yet made any of the recipes, but I’m getting the ingredients ready to take when I visit some relatives soon.) Additionally, thank-you so much for including the Fun Facts, tips, and caveats. I rarely EVER follow a recipe to the letter, and the helps will steer me toward a successful outcome.

    New to your site but what I’ve seen I really like and even though I’m not Keto or Paleo but am doing low carb high fat they will be great. I see that it indicates PayPal and didn’t go any further as I don’t use PayPal (bad experience). Also assume this is US dollars (I live in Canada) so assume the exchange rate is added as well.
    Looking forward to more great recipes….

    I just wanted to let you know that I purchased your cookbook. It’s as beautiful and tempting as I expected. I am also very happy to support you because I think your recipes are by far the best keto recipes out there. I greatly appreciate what you have provided. I hope your next cookbook will include a few more vegetarian Mains since good keto main course dishes are really the most difficult to find for vegetarians (and though I might like to, I cannot live on cake alone) and I know anything you create will be outstanding. Some that are in the book could just include tofu or paneer in addition to the meat options like the salmon skewers or the pad Thai. I love that there is a barbecue sauce recipe. I will definitely try it on tofu. Thank you!

    I think your blog and recipes are the absolute best Keto recipes on the Internet. I was wondering if you could tell me how many of the recipes in the new cookbook are vegetarian. Dairy is okay, just not meat, chicken, fish or gelatin. Thanks so much.

      Hi Karen! Wow thanks so much, means a lot to hear you enjoy the recipes so much! Regarding your question, 45 out of the 60 recipes are vegetarian. So breakfast, entrees and desserts- but most of the mains aren’t. xo!

    Hi Paola, I love the new cookbook as well as your other recipes; you aware very talented. Are you planning to do a series of seasonal cookbooks? I’m keeping my fingers crossed that’s the case. A question for you, I get you used seasonal ingredients but why are so many of them using the oven? I would have loved to see some using the BBQ. It’s just a question, sorry if it sounds critical I don’t mean for it to. Keep up the good work!

      Hi Carol! So happy you’re enjoying the cookbook! There will be a couple more in the works ;). And regarding your question, it was a deliberate decision not to include too many grill-only recipes. This is simply because you’d be surprised by the amount of peeps that don’t own a grill, and I didn’t want them to purchase the book and not be able to make 1/4 of the recipes. So while you can grill a bunch of the recipes, you can also whip them up in your stove top. I hope this makes sense and hope it wasn’t too disappointing! xo and thank you for your comment!

    I am so excited to receive this cook book! All of the recipes look so delicious!! I didn’t know that I only had limited times to open it though so I ran out without knowing and had to re-purchase the book. Either way I’m very satisfied with my purchase(s) and am looking forward to making some delicious low carb food!!

    A few weeks ago I started to live completely without gluten/ wheat and sugar. Since about 1.5 weeks I have switched to keto and my metabolism is still in the adaptation phase. But I am enthusiastic about the great variety of extremely tasty recipes and alternatives. I love your recipes and all the evenings and weekends I nearly spend my whole free time in the kitchen 🙂 I’m from Switzerland and so certain products are unfortunately not available here or incredibly expensive…but I make my way through by improvising Keto-like -)
    I’d be so happy to get a book from you. Is it available in shops too or can I order it only on your site? How much will be delivery to Switzerland? My husband will be in America soon and I’m preparing a shopping list for him 🙂 Beside Swerve and Xantan Gum there is also your book! So I just wonder if he can get it in a shop there or if we have to order online and deliver to a friend in the US to save up delivery and customs duties.

    Hello Paola. I was so excited to bake the BlackBerry scones i bought already all and how sad is that the ingredients where not there anymore. 😭I can only read how to do. I really don’t now what happend. My hubby was looking for the email with the download and as well this he can’t find it. It’s really sad. What can we do now. I don’t know how do put a picture In this email otherwise I can show you how it looks. I hope so you can help me. I put now the BlackBerry in the freezer now .

    Great book! It’s also the first keto book I’ve purchased which doesn’t have a single recipe with bacon and only one cream cream cheese. Such a welcome change! Easily the best keto recipes I’ve made

    Do a lot of the recipes have flaxseed or flaxmeal in them? There are different view on those two items, so I generally avoid them. I have used recipes with them but not lately since they are a little controversial in some groups. I just wondered the percentage that I wouldn’t use.

      Hi Anita! 6 of the recipes have flax (the quick breads and cakes), but you can sub it with psyllium in all. Interesting what you mention about flax, and I think you are right that it’s an ingredient that works either great or badly for peeps. I’ve personally noticed much better digestion (also with psyllium), so I try to sub out as much of the nut flours as I can with it.

      But you can always use psyllium as a sub in all the recipes. I just have a personal preference for the crumb with flax. xo!

    Very nice book! The pictures are drooling-worthy, the recipes are as detailed as on the site, and there’s plenty of variety for all summer needs. If you’re going to do more cookbooks, could I request a Mexican one?! My partner and I have cooked through your entire Mexican arsenal and are mesmerized by how even your simple pico de gallo salsa is splendid. And we, of course, make your tortillas religiously even when having guests over.

    Reporting back on the ice cream cones! THEY’RE AMAZING! How on earth did you come up with that recipe Paola? There’s a slight cooling taste from the erythritol, but other than that it’s the same taste and crisp texture. WE LOVE YOU!!!

    Thank you for such a wonderful book, we’re planning on cooking a few mains this week too! We love that you included more savory and Asian-type recipes recipes, the butter chicken and pad thai are two of our favorites from the site so we cannot wait to try the new ones. 🙂 God bless you for all your work!

And to answer your qs, 40 recipes are new for the book (the baked ice cream cones, strawberry shortbread, berry chicken, bbq ribs from scratch, an all new butter pie crust…). And 20 are summer favorites from the blog and yes, featured in the emails (such as the vanilla ice cream or graham crackers!). So the recipes from the blog I included are essentially solid summer favorites I already know you guys love. And I’ll probably share about 3 or 4 recipes from the book throughout the summer with some fun new videos 😉
