Are you grilling meats this summer? ???

Of course you are! That wasn’t a real question. Do you want the best sidekick possible to your grilled meats?

Now that’s the question. These grilled mushrooms are one of the best, yet simplest, things you’ll cook up this summer.

You see, they are pretty much thrown on the grill (or grill pan), and finished off with extra virgin olive oil, lemon, tarragon and flakey sea salt. Simply perfect. Fragrant-to-boot and deliciously tangy.

Oh of course, ketogenic and gluten free.

The Mushrooms ?

On your choice of mushrooms, you pretty much have free reign. Though if you are open to suggestions, we are quite keen on cremini, portobello and maitake for grilling.

Lemon & Tarragon Grilled Mushrooms

These ketogenic & gluten free grilled mushrooms, are bursting with flavor. Fragrant and tangy, they make the perfect side kick to grilled meats.

Ingredients

  • 300 g mixed mushrooms such as cremini, portobello, maitake cleaned and sliced
  • 4 tablespoons tarragon leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon juice of
  • flakey sea salt to taste
  • black pepper freshly ground

Instructions

If using the grill

  1. Soak your wooden skewers for at least 20 minutes before using them. 

  2. Skewer your mushroom selection, without cramming them. Place them on the grill and cook for 2-4 minutes on each side, until charred and soft.

  3. Place your mushrooms in a bowl with the olive oil, lemon juice, tarragon and season to taste. 

If using a griddle pan

  1. Heat up a griddle pan over medium/high heat. Add a teaspoon of olive oil and grill your mushrooms until softened (5-6 minutes).

  2. Place your mushrooms in a bowl with the olive oil, lemon juice, tarragon and season to taste.
